We acknowledge, however, that family comes first. We welcome and encourage family participation and support. Thus, we will make allowances when your obligation to The Texas State Militia conflicts with your obligation to your family.The Texas State Militia is not a social club. We train our members to operate as a cohesive assistance and defense force; prepared to respond effectively when called upon. Therefore, we expect our members to be dedicated to our common purpose and to make a commitment to attend all training, meetings and events. The Texas State Militia is comprised of Infantry and other elements such as medical, communitie service officers and more. Members are free to choose which element with which they wish to train. We provide training to all members in firearms skills, security, first aid and disaster preparedness.
